As part of our biology lessons, the class 5ew explored the documentary Seaspiracy, which deals with the impact of industrial fishing on the world’s oceans. While some of the issues were already familiar to us, the documentary made the scale of the problem much clearer.

Based on our research, we created informative comics (created by Sonja Röhrer and Emily Hirtl) and posters that illustrate the consequences of overfishing, bycatch and environmental damage in a visual and accessible way. The aim of that project is to raise awareness and encourage others to reflect on how human actions affect marine ecosystems.
